  Murder Mystery & The Agatha Connection: "The Sign of the Swan" was known to travellers at the beginning of the 18th Century, but was rebuilt in it's present form in 1840. In 1926 Agatha Christie chose to 'dissappear' here. The film "Agatha", starring Dustin Hoffman & Vanessa Redgrave was filmed on location at the Hotel & around Harrogate. The Hotel stands in five acres of beautiful gardens, perfect for your Wedding photos or even for your Civil Ceremony. The Hotel is situated in the centre of the famous spa town of Harrogate and Harrogate Bus & Train Station are only 1 mile away. The nearest airport, Leeds/Bradford Airport, is only 14 miles away. Harrogate itself offers attractions such as cinema, theatre, horse-riding, golf, squash, the Victoria Gardens Shopping Centre, the Turkish Baths, the Royal Pump Rooms & the Valley Gardens and there are historic buildings, stately homes & magnificent gardens to visit in the surrounding area, together with some of the most impressive scenery in North Yorkshire. We can put you in touch with our DJ so that you can discuss the music you do & don't want to be played. • The Old Swan can put you in touch with a company who can provide Bands (including Tribute Bands & Solo Performers) • The Old Swan can also provide a Pianist @ £150.00 to play during your Wedding Breakfast or put you in touch with other entertainment such as Harpist, String Quartet etc. • Departure • Transport • Available upon request Booking information By the Client: In the event that the Client cancels an event less than 20 weeks before the specified date of the Event on the Contract Form, the Hotel reserves the right to impose the following cancellation charges: Cancellation less than 14 days before the date of the event = 90% of the Total Price Cancellation between 12 weeks & 14 days before the Event (both dates inclusive) = 75% of the Total Price Cancellation between 20 & 12 weeks in advance = 40% of the Total Price Full details of Cancellation of Events policy and other parts of our standard terms & conditions can be requested from our Conference & Events department. |
